The Little Gym
On Saturday's Syrah and I go to the Little Gym where we run around and tumble. She really likes it there. She is usually the one running around going from one place to another, but she always loves the beam. That is her first place she goes.
Bunnies, Eggs, and Peeps
Easter this year was great! Syrah found all her eggs and enjoyed her basket. The Easter Bunny gave her some magnets that she made (not from scratch) and a glitter bouncy ball.
I tried so hard to get a cute picture of the three of the babies together, but seeing how MY daughter is too busy running around, she didn't want to give a minute of her time to get her picture taken. Wait, let me rephrase that. She did get her picture taken, but it wasn't as nice as I wanted. I guess Syrah's cousin, Layla, wasn't too thrilled to sit next to her (something to do with Syrah being too active and loud) that we had to separate them. I sometimes wish that Syrah wasn't so ... independently uninterested in sitting still! Oh well.
I am in love with the dress that Nana gave Syrah and if it is the last thing I do in life, I am going to get the 'photo of the year' picture of Syrah wearing it. Sooner of later, I will get Syrah to sit and smile long enough.
Oh Bellevue, Let Me Count The Ways ...
... that I love you.
10 - Safe (this one was higher on the list until my car was broken into)
9 - The 'high-end' feeling
8 - Beautiful and clean
7 - Early college memories
6 - Great restaurants (e.g, Thai Ginger)
5 - The Bellevue Collection (malls)
4 - Bellevue Botanical Garden
3 - LDS Temple
In March, Syrah and I went to Auntie Cari's in Bellevue, who lives a block away from Robinswood Park. When I was attending Bellevue College, I sometimes when to this park to sit next to the pond to eat and study, but I never noticed the children's play area.
I guess that makes sense though. Why would I care about a play area when I was 19? But now?!?! I LOVE THIS PLACE!
They have two play areas at the park. One is for the older kids, which is the typical swings and jungle gym things. The other is for the younger kids. This one has the coolest play toys I have ever seen. They were very innovated and ... the only word that comes to mind is high-class. Only in Bellevue!
Here are just a few pictures of our day. Syrah and I had so much fun with Cari there! I can't wait to go back.
Below is a video of the spinning toy (above picture) that I probably will never go on again! If you notice at the very end, Syrah shakes her hands to say "all done!"
La Isla de Encanto
It has been over a month since we returned from Puerto Rico. We had a wonderful time being there with my parents, and Derek's family. It was good to see my father's side of the family as well. Below are some pictures of our trip. Sorry folks, I don't have any pictures of the first two days there as we were sick with the flu, then my brother and his family was sick with the flu, then my parents. What can I say, families share everything.
PS - There isn't much text. It takes too long sometimes. If you have questions, just ask :)
